When the market drops,
your RMD doesn’t wait.

Falling investments. Required withdrawals. Selling more shares at lower prices can make the hit last longer.

Review fixed-annuity withdrawal options and whether a partial allocation of eligible retirement funds fits your needs.

Send your inquiry first. Choose a call time afterward if you want; scheduling is optional.

Watch: retirement money and market timing

This annuity background video discusses market timing and protected savings. It does not calculate your RMD, change withdrawal requirements or provide tax advice. Review RMD rules and contract access separately with your custodian and qualified tax professional.

A review with Jared & Erin

Give your withdrawals a plan.

If RMDs apply to you, the goal is to review a withdrawal source alongside the money you keep invested and accessible.

Review the withdrawal source

Explore whether a fixed annuity could provide a planned withdrawal source for part of your eligible retirement assets, alongside other investments.

Consider a partial allocation

You may not need to move the whole account. Review plan eligibility, product minimums and how much needs to stay liquid.

Compare the access terms

Review permitted withdrawals, surrender charges and any market-value adjustment. Withdrawals reduce contract value and may draw down principal.

Useful details before you act

Does an annuity eliminate RMDs?

No. RMD requirements still apply. The review concerns a possible withdrawal source, not avoiding the required amount.

Can this year’s required distribution be rolled over?

No. The current-year RMD is not rollover-eligible. Coordinate that distribution with your custodian or plan administrator before considering an eligible rollover of other funds.

Can one account cover all my RMDs?

Not automatically. RMDs for your own traditional IRAs can generally be combined and withdrawn from one or more of those IRAs. A 401(k) RMD generally must be satisfied from its own plan. Confirm your exact account rules.

What should I check in the annuity contract?

Check withdrawal limits, RMD provisions, surrender periods, charges, market-value adjustments and any rider costs. An RMD requirement does not automatically remove contract charges. Withdrawals reduce contract value and can use principal.

Fixed annuities are long-term insurance contracts. Guarantees depend on the issuing insurer’s claims-paying ability; they are not FDIC insured or bank guaranteed. Taxes and contract restrictions apply. Confirm account rules and tax treatment with your plan or custodian and qualified tax professional. First Freedom Life does not provide tax, legal or investment advice.
